I can't believe it's already Christmas time again!! We are so excited to be spending our 1st Christmas with Caroline! Last year we received the best Christmas present when we found out that our lil addition was on the way!! So much has happened this year that we are thankful for! This week Caroline has gotten a lil more vocal with her laughs and giggles. It's so funny to listen to her as she discovers new sounds to make! She has almost rolled over. I believe by the end of the week she will have it mastered! We are looking forward to waking up Christmas morning and seeing the excitement on Caroline's face when she opens all her presents! Finally updating the blog!!

Sorry it has taken me so long to get around to updating the blog. The past few months have been super busy! We have been having a blast with Caroline. I can't believe that she is already 14 weeks old! It's amazing how she changes each day! Below are some slide shows of what we have been up to the past few months. As you can see Caroline has already been on so many adventures! She's had her 1st girls trip to the beach, 1st Halloween, she's been to meet Santa for the 1st time in Atlanta and her 1st Thanksgiving last week! I'm going to try and start posting updates each week. Looking forward to everyone meeting our lil girl! :)

We are so excited!! Caroline is going to be here Monday!! We went to the dr yesterday for our weekly check-up and he brought up the option that if I was ready he could induce. Well of course I'm ready!! :) Besides the fact that I've been super uncomfortable lately I am dying to meet our Sweet Caroline!! Yesterday I was dilated 4cm, so if she doesn't decide to come this weekend then she will for sure be here Monday!! I'll be sure to post some pictures! Reality is starting to set in that we are about to have our lil girl. Very excited and nervous too!! Below are some pictures of the finished nursery! Only 3 more weeks!!!

Hey!! I hope everyone is having a wonderful summer!! I can't believe how fast it has flown by! Only 3 more weeks and Sweet Caroline is going to be here!! Or sooner if she decides to come early.. which would be nice.. :) I can't wait for her to meet everyone! We had our weekly dr visit this past Tuesday and he said everything looks great!! She weighs 6lbs right now.. my fluid is still the same but it's getting to where it's suppose to be for how far along I am now which is good.. We have all our bags packed and are ready to go when she decides to come!! Can't wait!! I wanted to share are recent maternity pictures that we had taken... Below is a link to view the slide show.. Caroline's Baby Shower- Dunlap

Last Sunday we had our baby shower in Dunlap that was given by Todd's parents. Everything was wonderful! It was so good to catch up with family and friends! We received several more great gifts for Caroline. We are definitely ready for her arrival now! I can't believe she is going to be here in 5 more weeks!! We are getting so excited, anxious and a lil nervous. Having a newborn is going to be a whole new experience! Can't wait! Below are some pictures from the shower. Caroline's Baby Shower- Chattanooga

This past Saturday we had our baby shower in Chattanooga that was given by my parents. The shower took place downtown at Table 2. Several of our out of town friends were able to come in for the shower and it was so good to see everyone!!! We received so many wonderful gifts!! Todd and I are truly blessed to have such great friends!! Thanks again to everyone that came!! I can't wait until Caroline is here and gets to meet everyone!! Only 7 more weeks!!!

Todd's 30th Birthday

Last week Todd turned the BIG 30!!! We started the celebration off with a cookout Saturday night at our house. The weather was perfect! Everyone enjoyed some beer, BBQ and cornhole!! Tuesday night we went to dinner at Tony's Pasta to celebrate with Todd's parents and then Wednesday night we went to dinner at Alleia's to celebrate with my parents. It was definitely an eventful week!! Below are some pictures!!

Caroline's 4D Ultrasound

Last Friday we had the 4D ultrasound which didn't go exactly as planned. We discovered that my fluid is low. Right now I'm at 7 which isn't alarming right now. He said that if it gets down to 5 then he would start to worry more. The dr told me that he's not putting me on bed rest but that he wants me to start taking it easy, stop exercising and start coming in every week to check my fluid levels. He also said the chances of her coming early have increased. Ideally he would like for her to stay in there until 35-38 weeks which I'm currently in my 32nd week. We go back to the dr this Friday. I'll keep everyone posted on what we find out. Hope everyone has a great week!! Below are the pictures from the 4D ultrasound. They didn't turn out that good due to my fluid being low.

Christiane's Baby Shower

Last week I went to Atlanta for Christiane's baby shower. It was so good to see Christiane!! We've been best friends since kindergarten and now we are both pregnant at the same time! She is just 3 weeks ahead of me, so it's been great having someone to chat with all the time throughout our pregnancies. Tuesday night was the shower and Wednesday we headed to The Mart to do some shopping!! While at The Mart we were able to spend some time with one of our sorority sisters Carol! Carol is also pregnant, so everyone got a laugh out of the 3 pregnant girls shopping together. Below are some pictures from Christiane's baby shower.

4th of July Weekend

We had a wonderful weekend!! Friday we spent the day out on the lake. Russell can't get enough of the lake!! He LOVES swimming! It's so cute! As soon as we get to the lake house the first thing he does is run down to the dock and jump in! Friday night we went to the Lookouts game. Saturday morning we loaded the boys back up and took them to the lake so they could spend the day with Mimi & Granddad while we went to the Dunlap 4th of July parade. After the parade we headed to the Hatfield 4th of July Cookout! It was so good to see everyone!! Later that afternoon we headed back over the mountain to cookout with my parents. We were definitely full by the end of the day!! Sunday we spent the day relaxing at home. Below are some pictures from our weekend! Hope everyone has a great week!!

Caroline's nursery is starting to come together!! A couple weeks ago Lydia came and painted all the murals. She did an amazing job!! Last week they came and hung the window treatments. I've been told that the bedding should ship out this week and the chair/ottoman should ship out next week. I can't wait until we have everything! It really has been so much fun planning her nursery. I'm looking forward to many precious moments spent in there with Lil Caroline!! Below are some pictures that I took last week.

Beach Trip- June 2009

Sorry for the delay in posting some entries. We have just been so busy lately which is a good thing because it makes the time go by faster!! Only 10 more weeks and Caroline will be here!! Last week we went to Destin, FL with Todd's parents and had a blast! We had perfect weather!! Had a relaxing time on the beach during the day and enjoyed some yummy seafood at night. I was also able to catch up with Lucy & Carol a couple sorority sisters while we were there. It was so good to see them!! Below are some pictures from our trip.

Babymoon

This past weekend Todd and I went on our Babymoon to Charleston, SC! We had a great time! For those of you that are confused about a babymoon, it's a trip you take before the baby gets here so you can relax with the hubby! We did the usual leaving at 4:30am and arrived in Charleston Friday morning to wonderful weather! We spent the afternoon lounging by the pool and later that night went to dinner at a restaurant in the resort. Saturday morning we woke up to wonderful weather again! Had an awesome couples massage, lounged by the pool and then headed to downtown Charleston to visit the market and eat dinner. Sunday turned out to be a rainy cloudy day so we ended up sleeping in and enjoying a lazy day. Later that night we headed back to downtown Charleston for a wonderful dinner at High Cotton. I highly recommend this restaurant! The food was delicious!! Monday morning we woke up and made the trip back to Chattanooga! Below are some pictures from our trip. 23 Week Check-Up

We just got back from our 23 week check-up and everything still looks great!! This time my parents came with us so they could see lil Caroline on the ultrasound. She is getting so much bigger!! Today we could see her eyes & mouth open and close. The dr. mentioned that is another sign it's a girl when they keep opening their mouth. Ha! Caroline is about 1 1/2lbs right now. It seems like she is growing everyday because my belly gets bigger each day! I can also feel her kicks a lot more now. Sometimes you can even see my stomach move around when she kicks! It's so amazing!! Only 17 more weeks to go and she'll be here!! Below is the picture from our appointment this morning. Hope everyone has a great week!!

Girls Beach Weekend 2009

This past weekend we had a Girls Beach Weekend in Rosemary Beach, FL. Carol lives down there, so we all went down and stayed with her. The weather was awesome!! Turned out that 3 of us were pregnant, so it was fun to share preggo stories and talk about babies. We ate at some wonderful restaurants. One in particular was the Bud & Alley's Pizza Bar which was awesome!! If you are in the Seaside area you should definitely try it out!! The weekend was perfect and I'm already looking forward to Girls Beach Weekend 2010!! Below are some pics from our weekend!

Trip to Scottsdale, AZ

Last week we traveled to Scottsdale, AZ for a convention. It is beautiful out there!! We spent our week going to meetings, playing golf, relaxing by the pool and getting a wonderful mom-to-be massage!! The last day we were there the temperature reached 102!! It was hot but not nearly as bad since they don't have any humidity there. The driver told us it is 115 during the summer. Too hot for me!! Below are some pictures from our trip. Yesterday was Russell's birthday, so last night we celebrated with birthday cake! Thanks to Bone Appetite making the cake it was a success. As you can see below the boys loved it!

It's still a girl!!

We had our 19 week appointment yesterday and everything looks great!! Todd had been thinking the past couple weeks that when the dr. did the ultrasound he was going to realize it's actually a boy, but no such luck. We have pictures clearly showing the girl parts this time. Todd's parents went to the appointment with us, so it was exciting for them to get to see the ultrasound too! It's so neat to see her moving around on the screen. Below are some of the ultrasound pictures. The dr. said she is 12 ounces and everything looks perfect! Right now I can feel her a lil bit if I'm sitting still. It's kind of like popcorn popping in your stomach. In a few more weeks the dr. said I should start to feel the actual kicks. I can't wait!! After the confirmation that we are still having a girl I ordered everything for the nursery and Todd picked up the crib and changing table. It will be another 6-8 weeks before the rest of the furniture and bedding comes in. It's so exciting getting Caroline's room ready!!

Easter Weekend 2009

We had a wonderful and eventful Easter weekend. We started it off by celebrating Tosha & Misty's birthdays at Los Margaritas Friday night.

Saturday morning after I got back from spin class Todd surprised me with my Easter basket, so I ended up going ahead and giving him and the boys their baskets. We are going to have to get better about waiting until the actual day next year for Caroline. We had this problem at Christmas time too. We opened our stockings and presents on Christmas Eve!!

We recently became members of the Chattanooga Golf & Country Club, so Saturday we spent the afternoon playing some golf! I thought it was suppose to be a warm sunny day, but it turned out to be cloudy and windy. Oh well! We still had a great time!

Easter morning we went to church at Hixson United Methodist and then lunch at the country club with my parents.

Sunday afternoon we headed over to Dunlap to celebrate Easter with Todd's family. The family had gotten together at Ma Dean & Pa Dean's house. It was so good to see everyone!

16 WEEKS DOWN 24 MORE WEEKS TO GO!!

I am at 16 weeks now and Caroline is the size of an avocado. Still very small but she is already growing her toenails this week! Her ears are also in their final place. It will be so neat to see who's ears, eyes or nose she gets. Two more weeks and we will go for our 19 week check-up. Can't wait to see her on the ultrasound again and see how much she has changed. After finding out that we are expecting a lil girl I just had to purchase some cute outfits! I can already tell this is going to be bad! There are too many cute clothes out there for girls. Since I love things monogrammed I ordered Caroline a few things. I have attached the picture below of her first outfit! I hope everyone has a great week!!

We were so excited to find out this morning that we are having a girl!! The first thing Todd said was, "Oh man what am I going to do with 2 girls!?!?" and the Dr. responded with, "Start saving for their wedding now!!". Ha!! I thought that was cute. It worked out that it's a girl because last night we couldn't decide on a boy name. The name we have chosen for our lil girl is Caroline Marie Hatfield! Caroline has always been my favorite name for a girl and then Marie is my middle name. She was definitely a lil wiggle worm this morning during the ultrasound. The Dr. printed out 5 pictures, but none of them are that clear. We actually saw several better shots on the screen but he didn't print those out. Today we got to see her lil leg all stretched out. Each visit we get to see more and more detail of Caroline. It's so neat!! I have attached the ultrasound pictures from today. I hope everyone has a Happy St. Patrick's Day tomorrow!!!

Monday is the big day!! We get to find out if Baby Hatfield is a girl or boy. This is going to be the longest weekend since we'll be anticipating Monday morning. I've been reading that I should start feeling the baby soon. It's suppose to feel like a lil butterfly which this past week I have been feeling a lil flutter in there. I can't wait to start feeling the kicks and hiccups!! This is all such an exciting experience. In the up coming week Baby Hatfield will be the size of an apple and weighing in at 2 1/2 ounces. Well, I hope everyone has a great weekend and we'll let you know how our dr visit goes on Monday!!

I have recently discovered the world of blog pages and realized they are a great way to keep family and friends updated! It has been so much fun reading everyone else's pages, that I decided to make one for our family! And what better time since we have recently found out that Baby Hatfield is on the way!! To fill everyone in.. We discovered this wonderful news the day after Christmas. I couldn't have asked for a better present! After taking 4 home test that weekend and a test at the dr. on Monday it became a reality! We are going to be parents! New Year's Day we shared the news with our parents. They were all thrilled! This will be the first grandchild for both sides of the family. So far the pregnancy has been pretty easy with no morning sickness. I am now going on 13 weeks!! Still have several more weeks to go, but each week is a new and exciting experience to discover the new changes and developments with Baby Hatfield! Only 2 more weeks and we'll get to find out if we are having a lil girl or lil boy. We can't wait!! Thank you for sharing this journey with us! Stayed tuned for more about the Hatfield Family!!
